CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (AP) - Only minor injuries are reported from a 10-vehicle collision that has closed a two-mile section of westbound Interstate 10 in south-central Arizona for part of Friday morning.

The collision occurred near Casa Grande and I-10’s junction with Interstate 8.

A two-vehicle collision briefly closed eastbound I-10 in the same area a short time later before the vehicles were cleared from traffic lanes.

Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said weather was a factor in the westbound accident but that driver error was the cause.

Graves didn’t elaborate but thunderstorms crossed southern and central Arizona Friday morning.

Westbound I-10 was closed more than an hour before it reopened.
