EDISON, N.J. (AP) - Delays are easing on New Jersey Transit’s Northeast Corridor after a train struck and killed a man.

The death occurred just west of the Metropark Station after 5 a.m. Friday when a train from Trenton headed for New York hit the 58-year-old. His name has not been released.

Commuters were facing delays up to 90 minutes between Trenton and Metropark. However, NJ Transit says those delays are easing.

Buses are accepting rail passes between Trenton and Metropark.

PATH cross-honored tickets at Penn Station in Newark and 33rd Street stations in New York until 9 a.m. Friday.
