GERALD, Mo. (AP) - Investigators say they’ve found the car belonging to a missing suburban St. Louis woman, although her whereabouts still aren’t known.

Authorities say 57-year-old Linda McLaughlin’s brown 2008 Buick Enclave was found Thursday night in south St. Louis. That was three days after the Sunset Hills woman went missing.

Investigators on Friday were searching a farm near Gerald in eastern Missouri’s Franklin County for any signs of McLaughlin. The woman and her husband own property near there.

A spokesman for St. Louis County police says no one was in custody as of mid-day Friday.

Neighbors say Linda McLaughlin took care of her grandchildren at her home in the mornings, routinely apprised them of her activities and would not leave without notifying anyone.
