CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (AP) - Police in Rhode Island say they have arrested five men between 23 and 66 in an undercover prostitution sting.

Central Falls police said Thursday three women police officers posed as prostitutes in high traffic areas Wednesday.

Four men, all from either Rhode Island or Massachusetts, were charged with soliciting from motor vehicle for indecent purposes. One 48-year-old Providence man was charged with procurement of sexual conduct for a fee.

Police say two operations in the past three weeks have netted 15 arrests.

Several Rhode Island law enforcement agencies say human trafficking, forced labor and commercial sexual exploitation are prevalent in the state.

The defendants have been ordered to appear in court June 17.
