BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - South Dakota teachers and other youth educators interested in learning about garden education programs can attend a couple of workshops this summer.

The South Dakota State University Extension is hosting garden educator classes in Sioux Falls and Rapid City in the upcoming weeks.

The training will provide teachers nutrition resources for a school garden, information on growing vegetables and stories from area garden projects.

The classes are designed for teachers, after-school program leaders and other educators working with PreK through middle school teachers.

Workshops are scheduled for June 23 in Rapid City and Aug. 4 in Sioux Falls.
