FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) - A Fairbanks man is in custody on a first-degree murder charge related to the shooting death of an outdoorsman and past character on National Geographic’s reality show “Ultimate Survival Alaska.”

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reports (https://bit.ly/1GcuaWL) 69-year-old Jimmy Gojdics was found shot near his home in Fox earlier last month. He was pronounced dead at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.

Alaska State Troopers arrested 44-year-old Major Workman on Thursday. He was indicted by a grand jury and was transported to Fairbanks Correctional Center on a no-bail warrant.
