OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - A new bus station and bus depot may be coming to a southwest Ohio city as part of a $26 million transportation project.

The Butler County Regional Transit Authority has submitted a grant application calling for a transit station to be built at Miami University’s Shriver Center, along with a transit depot and parking hub at the former Talawanda High school site that is owned by the university.

The Hamilton-Middleton Journal-News reports (https://bit.ly/1ARKqfg ) the project - called Butler County Connect - is an effort to connect the eastern part of Butler County to Oxford and Miami University, the county’s largest employer.

Miami University, Talawanda Schools and the transit authority have partnered on a $20 million federal grant, with the university committing to delivering a local match for the grant.
