SALEM, Ore. (AP) - Police in Salem, Oregon, have arrested a 17-year-old youth in a drive-by shooting that wounded a man standing outside his residence and his 14-year-old son, who was inside asleep in his bed.

Lt. Dave Okada said Friday the 17-year-old was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangering and taken to juvenile detention.

A gun has also been recovered.

The shooting occurred early Thursday morning. The injured adult was a 34-year-old man. Okada says both he and his son are expected to make a full recovery.

Okada says the incident appears to be gang-related.
