GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - A Greenville strip club can reopen, but there’ll be no stripping.

Local media outlets reported Friday a consent order allows Platinum Plus to reopen in November as a nightclub with exotic dancing. But dancers will have to keep their clothes on, and they can’t have contact with customers.

A judge temporarily closed the club in May after prosecutors argued the business was a public nuisance. Sheriff’s records show deputies have been called to the club 282 times since the beginning of 2012.

Deputies were called 52 times because of a disturbance and 49 times to investigate a suspicious vehicle.

Elephant Inc., the company that operates the club, has denied management knew about any wrongdoing. Under the consent order, the company will pay $50,000 to defray costs and legal expense.
