BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The University of Alabama-Birmingham has named a new vice provost for enrollment management.
Officials said in a statement that Bradley Barnes will begin duties as vice provost for enrollment management on July 15.
UAB officials say Barnes will help in the areas of student recruitment, admissions, retention and graduation. Officials say UAB saw its sixth year of record enrollment in 2014 with the student population topping 18,000.
UAB officials say Barnes was named to the position after a national search that was guided by a 15-person committee composed of students, faculty and staff.
