LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has moved the annual Carp-O-Rama to Branched Oak Lake near Lincoln and scheduled it for June 20.

Anglers of all ages are invited to attend the free event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lieber’s Point. Carp caught will be used in demonstrations on cleaning, preparing and cooking. The cooked fish then will be served as a free lunch.

Carp-O-Rama has been held at Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area, but in November 2013 a chemical was applied to Pawnee Lake to eliminate unwanted white perch and gizzard shad. Other fish, including common carp, also were affected. There still are carp in Pawnee Lake, but the commission says Branched Oak has more.
