HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AP) - Military pilots will be flying nighttime training missions in the area around Hill Air Force Bake next week.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1HffjvG ) that the base has announced that fighter pilots will be training Monday through Saturday.

Base spokesman Nathan Simmons said in a prepared statement that local residents may hear F-16s during the night hours.

The missions will run periodically between 8 a.m. until just after midnight.

Simmons says the pilots limit night operations to what is required to remain proficient in flying at night.

He says the military will also be examining aircraft maintenance and operational agility during the exercises.
