PLYMOUTH, Maine (AP) - Police say a 20-year-old Maine man is dead after he struck another vehicle and was ejected from his car.

Maine state police Det. Christopher Cookson tells WCSH (https://on.wcsh6.com/1HeO6Js ) that Buck Charles of Plymouth likely was speeding when he lost control on a curve, crossed the center line and struck an oncoming car in Plymouth.

A couple in the other car - 78-year-old Raynor Shaw and 73-year-old Mavis Shaw - were taken to Eastern Maine Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.

Cookson says Charles was not wearing a seatbelt.
