SEARSBURG, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a man is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries he suffered after accidentally shooting himself in the leg while on a camping trip in Searsburg.

Twenty-eight-year-old Anthony Shultz of Hinsdale, New Hampshire, was shot while adjusting his belt which held a holstered Ruger .22 caliber pistol. Authorities say he accidentally squeezed the trigger.

A relative who was with Shultz called for help. Schultz is being treated at a local hospital.
