MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Prattville Farmer’s Market has opened for the season.

Its first event was Saturday at the Grove in downtown. Prattville events coordinator Barbara Simpson said about 13 vendors came out selling homegrown fruits and vegetables .There were also musicians and chefs.

The Montgomery Advertiser (https://on.mgmadv.com/1FFIF0F ) reports only vendors within 20 miles of Prattville can participate.

The market will be open from 7 a.m. to noon on Saturdays through Sept. 26.
