ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - An Orlando radio personality is being accused in a new lawsuit of making false statements about his estranged wife on his show.

In a lawsuit filed this week in Orange County, Samantha Boomer alleges she was humiliated and feared for her safety after “Monsters in the Morning” talk show host Russ Rollins defamed her on the air and via his personal blog.

The Orlando Sentinel (https://bit.ly/1IihkFP ) reports that Boomer has hired prominent women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred to represent her in the suit. In addition to defamation, the lawsuit also claims invasion of privacy.

The lawsuit comes months after Rollins staged a video of him being served with divorce papers while on the air. The stunt was panned by national domestic violence groups.
