MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire’s Fisher Cats baseball team is honoring a fallen police officer and a retiring police chief.

Sunday’s game pays tribute to slain Brentwood police officer Stephen Arkell, who was shot to death in May 2014 while responding to a domestic disturbance call. He was 48.

Arkell’s two daughters - Kimberly and Lauren - will be throwing out the first pitches, alongside retiring Manchester Police Chief David Mara.

Mara has been on the force for nearly 30 and was promoted to chief in 2008. At the game, he will receive the Officer Michael Briggs Community Service Award, named for the Manchester officer who was shot to death while on duty in 2006.

Mara is retiring June 30.

Sunday’s game starts at 1:35 p.m. at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester.
