CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The curtain is coming down on the 2015 edition of the internationally known Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston.

The festival finale is Sunday and features a concert by the seven-piece soul band St. Paul & The Broken Bones at Middletown Place Plantation on the Ashley River.

The event includes picnicking, a beer garden and the traditional closing fireworks display.

Highlights of this year’s 39th season included the world premiere of the contemporary opera “Paradise Interrupted” as well as an Italian opera performed for the first time in 350 years.

Other attractions included performances by the London-based acting company Shakespeare’s Globe and the Scottish Ballet. Emmylou Harris also performed, as did jazz singer Dianne Reeves.
