SAITAMA, Japan (AP) - Urawa Reds extended its unbeaten run to 15 games and moved within one point of the J-League first-stage title after a 1-0 win over Shimizu S-Pulse Sunday.

Shinzo Koroki’s second-half goal allowed Urawa to reach 37 points with two matches left, nine points ahead of defending champions Gamba Osaka who have a game in hand.

Japanese treble winners Gamba drew 0-0 at home to Vissel Kobe.

Urawa can secure the first-stage title by earning a point in its June 20 clash with Vissel Kobe. The first stage winners book a spot in the championship playoffs starting in late November.

Koroki broke the deadlock seven minutes after the break, gathering a loose ball just inside the area before firing past goalkeeper Masatoshi Kushibiki for his fifth goal of the season.

In other matches, Sanfrecce Hiroshima was eliminated from the first-stage title chase despite a 3-2 win over Kashima Antlers.

FC Tokyo beat Matsumoto Yamaga 2-1 but was also eliminated, while Yokohama F Marinos drew 1-1 away to Ventforet Kofu.

Kawasaki Frontale defeated Shonan Bellmare 2-1 and Vegalta Sendai thrashed Sagan Tosu 5-0.

Kashima Antlers drew 2-2 with Montedio Yamagata, while Albirex Niigata and Nagoya Grampus finished 1-1.
