BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is scheduled to announce an increase in funding for after school programs.

The mayor will discuss the funding at a news conference Monday in Baltimore

The mayor’s office says the new funding will build on the foundation laid by her administration to support city youth. That includes expanding the summer jobs program and a $1 million investment in school construction funds.

It also includes the construction of the city’s first recreation center in a decade.
