LANHAM, Md. (AP) - Sen. Ben Cardin is scheduled to tour the Thompson Creek Window Company in Lanham.

The senator will meet Monday with the company’s leaders to talk about economic development and job creation.

Thompson Creek has been manufacturing and customizing replacement windows, doors, gutters and siding in Maryland for more than three decades. Its products are designed to improve a home’s efficiency and value.

The company broke ground this year on a new $20 million building in Upper Marlboro that will eventually house its manufacturing and warehouse operations. It also will allow the company to add 150 new hires in addition to its existing 330 full-time employees.
