PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A 29-year-old Providence man is accused of luring a 14-year-old girl from a group home in Rhode Island to work as a prostitute in New Jersey.

Paul Monteiro is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday on charges including sex trafficking of a minor.

He was arrested in April in Franklin Township, New Jersey, and indicted by a federal grand jury last week.

The Providence Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1IxL3hc ) details from the indictment show police tracked the girl to a New Jersey hotel by getting a fix on her cell phone location.

Police say Monteiro had sold the girl for sex using an escort advertisement on an Internet. He has been in custody since his arrest and could not be reached for comment.
