ATLANTA (AP) - Officials say a hairless cat has been found after going missing at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

WSB-TV (https://bit.ly/1FK65Sv ) reports the cat was lost while being transported on a Delta Air Lines flight Thursday around 7 a.m.

A Delta spokeswoman says the cat was found in an airport terminal Monday morning in good condition. She says the cat has been returned to its owner.

The animal’s owners say they bought the hairless peterbald kitten named Rudy from a breeder in Canada. The kitten was being transported to its new family for the first time.

Delta’s spokeswoman says teams searched since the cat went missing and the airline arranged for a vet visit after finding it. She says the airline still is trying to determine how the cat escaped.
