CLEVELAND (AP) - A northeast Ohio man could face life in federal prison after a jury in Cleveland convicted him of charges related to his involvement in a large-scale heroin ring in the Cleveland area.

Thirty-three-year-old Keith Ricks was considered a ringleader in a drug trafficking operation that local, state and federal law enforcement investigators broke up in September 2013. A U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman says Rick’s guilty verdict Monday makes him the last of 60 defendants from the case to be found guilty in federal court.

Authorities say Ricks and others in the ring obtained heroin from Atlanta and also robbed drug dealers of their drug supplies and cash they used to fund the operation.

An attorney for Ricks did not return messages. Ricks is scheduled to be sentenced Sept. 14.
