SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police say a Murray man appears to have shot his fiancee and their 2-year-old son before turning the gun on himself over the weekend.

Authorities released the names Monday of the three people killed in the apparent murder-suicide.

Murray police believe that 30-year-old Johnathon Reeves shot 34-year-old Jaime Salazar and their son, Jordan Reeves, inside an apartment complex before killing himself just before noon on Sunday.

Investigators say that Salazar’s three children aged 8 through 11 from a previous marriage were also in the apartment at the time of the shootings.

They weren’t injured and are now with their father.
