SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Gov. Peter Shumlin is putting out the word about an upcoming job fair with 35 Vermont employers looking to fill more than 600 positions.

The Vermont Career Connections Job Fair runs from noon to 6 p.m. at the Sheraton in South Burlington on June 12.

Many industries will be represented, including health care, hospitality, banking, construction, and manufacturing.

Types of jobs range from finance and accounting to sales, marketing, operations, information technology, and human resources. Levels range from intern to company vice president.

Shumlin says it’s encouraging that so many jobs are available. He says the challenge maybe finding the right people to fill them.
