CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) - Police say five teens broke into cars at a Long Island Rail Road lot over a two-week span.

Suffolk County police say the teens were arrested early Sunday when officers received calls reporting car break-ins at the Central Islip station.

Authorities found a BB gun during the arrests that they believe was used by the suspects to break car windows.

Police say the suspects are responsible for damaging 15 cars and stealing items from the vehicles in the same parking lot since May 24.

The teens are facing criminal mischief charges. Two of them are also facing petty larceny charges.

Police are continuing to investigate.
