OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The American Red Cross of Oklahoma and Camp Noah are looking for volunteers for a weeklong experience this month.

Camp Noah is a weeklong program for kids affected by disaster or a traumatic event. It needs volunteers beginning Sunday for weeklong camps in Mustang and Oklahoma City. Volunteers will undergo specialized training and background checks. All training, camp shirts, lodging if necessary and meals will be provided.

Volunteers should be able to attend the entire week beginning Sunday afternoon through June 19, as campers work best when strong relationships are built. Volunteers range in age, ability and background, which organizers say helps to bring hope and healing to children. Volunteers are also needed for other weeks.

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters.
