PRAGUE (AP) - Czech authorities have beefed up security for Defense Minister Martin Stropnicky following an arson attack on his house.

Ministry spokesman Jan Pejsek says nobody was injured in the attack by petrol bombs on Sunday morning.

In a statement on Tuesday, the ministry says several members of his family were at home at the time, but Stropnicky was not there. No more details were given.

Czech state and military police have been investigating the incident.
