SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - A Spartanburg woman has been charged with attempted murder after police say she shot a man.

The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg (https://bit.ly/1IzrQLQ ) reports 28-year-old Kalaina Mylekki Jackson was arrested Monday afternoon after shooting a man in the upper left leg. According to an incident report, the victim told police his ex-wife shot him before she drove away.

The man was taken to the Spartanburg Medical Center for injuries shortly after police arrived. His condition is unknown.

Authorities say neighbors heard several gunshots and shell casings were scattered in front of the residence.

It is unclear if Jackson has a lawyer.
