CLAY, N.Y. (AP) - An upstate New York man has been charged with drunk driving after running a red light and colliding with another car.

State police say Timothy Vuncannon, of Pennellville, was spotted speeding along Morgan Road in the town of Clay without headlights Saturday night.

According to the Syracuse Post Standard (https://bit.ly/1zuR9Vp ), when officers tried to pull him over, police say he kept driving and ran a red light before crashing into another vehicle. The driver of that car was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Vuncannon was treated at a hospital and released.

He was charged with misdemeanors driving while intoxicated and third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer. He was issued tickets for reckless driving and speeding.

It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
