President Obama is returning to ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” for the second time on Thursday night.

The president is making his late-night show appearance in Los Angeles, where he is also scheduled to attend a Democratic National Committee event, The Hill reported.

Sean Penn will be a fellow guest for Thursday night’s show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The president is no stranger to the late-night talk show circuit. He was last seen on Jimmy Kimmel’s show via satellite in June 2008 during his first presidential campaign. He also appeared several times on “The Tonight Show” and the “Late Show,” and he helped send off Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” during its final month in December, THR reported.

Mr. Kimmel hosted the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner in 2012.
