SYRACUSE, Ind. (AP) - A third northern Indiana man faces two murder charges in connection with the shooting deaths of a Syracuse couple.

Police said Thursday that 27-year-old Thomas Glen Hursey of Warsaw has been charged with two counts of murder and with aiding and inducing or causing robbery with serious bodily injury. He’s held without bond. It’s not clear whether he has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

A probable cause affidavit says Hursey acknowledged being with 23-year-old Brandon Woody and 22-year-old Kyle Dehart when they went to the Syracuse home of 23-year-old Tara Thornburg on Feb. 19 to steal marijuana from her. Nineteen-year-old Joshua Knisely also died.

DeHart’s mother, 49-year-old Joan DeHart of Syracuse, and his girlfriend, 21-year-old Nicole Shepard of Mishawaka, face lesser charges in connection with the slayings.
