LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A Carlsbad man has pleaded guilty in federal court to drug trafficking and gun charges.

David V. Munoz, 39, pleaded guilty Friday to possessing methamphetamine and heroin with intent to distribute and being a felon in possession of guns.

Investigators say they found several guns, methamphetamine and heroin during a search of his home in October.

Authorities say Munoz was prohibited from possessing a gun because he had previously been convicted of conspiracy to traffic illegal drugs in Oklahoma.

Sentencing has not yet been set for Munoz.
