DETROIT (AP) - A 61-year-old man has been charged in connection with the vicious attack by a pack of pit bulls he owned on a 50-year-old man in a Detroit neighborhood.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says Tuesday that Derrick Felton was arraigned on three counts of harboring a dangerous animal causing serious injury.

Felton was arrested Monday at an east side house after months of searching. Steve Constantine lost most of his left arm, his left leg below the knee and his left ear in the October attack.

Police killed one dog at the scene and rounded up at least 11 others.

Felton was ordered jailed on a $50,000 bond. He faces a probable cause hearing on Monday in 36th District Court and a March 30 preliminary examination.
