LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say a southwest Florida deputy was stabbed while responding to a disturbance.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to a Lehigh Acres home around 6:30 a.m. Monday. Officials didn’t immediately release details about what led to one deputy being stabbed, only that her injuries weren’t considered life-threatening and that a suspect was in custody.

The sheriff’s office wasn’t immediately naming the deputy or the suspect.
