MARANA, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities in southern Arizona say a suspect has been arrested in a homicide case.

Marana police say the body of an adult male was found Monday morning in a vehicle in the desert area between an Interstate 10 frontage road and a restaurant.

Police say the body had obvious signs of trauma and was later identified as 22-year-old Austin Gann.

They say Gann was pronounced dead at the scene from a single gunshot wound.

Police say 23-year-old Cody William Clark is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder.

They say Clark already was in custody for criminal damage.

It’s unclear if Clark has a lawyer yet.
