PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - No injuries were reported when a gas leak at Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science prompted an hour-long evacuation of several buildings.

University officials say the leak in a laboratory “clean room” triggered an alarm at 9:17 a.m. Tuesday.

The buildings in the Engineering Quadrangle, known as E-Quad on campus, were evacuated for about an hour.

Officials say the building’s emergency protection systems worked as expected, shutting down the gas supply.
