GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - A Harrison County grand jury has found no foul play in the death of a jail inmate who became ill and was taken to a hospital Aug. 5, 2013.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1FSNvvl ) the finding of no criminal conduct in the death of Gregory Lynn Woodall, 50, was released by the District Attorney’s Office on Monday.

Authorities said Woodall was having trouble breathing and was taken to Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport. At the time, Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said Woodall died “of natural disease progression.”

The ruling was one of three involving deaths included in the final report of a grand jury that ended its six-month term in Gulfport this month. The rulings were partial reports containing few details.

One was the officer-involved fatal shooting of Frank Rhodes on June 13, 2014. The grand jury cleared a Gulfport police officer was cleared of wrong-doing. Authorities said Rhodes was shot as he fired at police at a home.

Another involved the June 7, 2014, death of Darnell Joseph Brown, determined to be a suicide.
