JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville police officer was suspended for 10 days for letting a scantily dressed woman drive his patrol car to a Hooters restaurant.

The sheriff’s office released records involving Officer Irving Diaz on Monday. He was suspended on Feb.27 and received a written reprimand.

The Florida Times-Union (https://bit.ly/1BoGBIr ) reports Diaz also searched the woman’s name in a police database because she was often around his children. The internal affairs report indicates she was seen driving the patrol car at least times.

A photo taken in June also led to an internal affairs report and an admonishment for unbecoming behavior. That photo showed Diaz dressed in uniform and leaning against his patrol car while embracing a woman.

Diaz was hired by the department in 2004.
