ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Police in Albany say a 25-year-old man is in jail after he stabbed two other men during an attack on a street in the city.

Officers say they responded around 7:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of an assault on Lark Street. Police found two men had suffered stab wounds during a fight, and that the suspect had fled the scene.

The victims, ages 25 and 35, were taken to Albany Medical Center, where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say they later arrested Edward Williams near the scene of the stabbing and charged him with assault. Officials say he had been involved in an ongoing dispute with the two men.

Williams is being held Tuesday in the county jail. It couldn’t immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
