JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - A Horace man escaped injury when the semitrailer he was driving struck a concrete bridge pillar on Interstate 94.
The crash happened about 12:30 p.m. Monday, 20 miles west of Jamestown. The Highway Patrol says the semi went off the road, into the ditch and up an embankment before striking the pillar.
Authorities say 62-year-old Robert Olson told them he might have fallen asleep at the wheel. He was cited for failing to exercise care.
Damage to his truck was estimated at $50,000. No damage was listed for the pillar.
