TERRY, Miss. (AP) - The Mississippi Highway Patrol is working to identify a pedestrian killed on Interstate 55 in Terry.

Trooper Eric Henry tells The Clarion-Ledger (https://on.thec-l.com/1GOLajF) troopers were called Monday morning to the I-55 east frontage road where a passer-by had noticed a body on the side of the road.

Henry says preliminary reports are that the body is that of an unidentified middle-aged male.

He says investigators are looking into the matter as a hit and run. So far there are no witnesses and no vehicle information.
