JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Authorities have issued a murder warrant and are searching nationwide for a moped rider they say shot and killed another man near Jacksonville in a drive-by shooting.

Local media outlets report the warrant names Travares “T” Francis Waters of Jacksonville. According to North Carolina Department of Public Safety records, he also goes by several aliases.

Waters is charged in the shooting of 32-year-old Tony Vince Lewis Jr., also of Jacksonville, at a gas station on March 17. Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller says Lewis was shot in his car by a moped rider wearing a full-face helmet.

Miller isn’t discussing a motive but says the two men knew each other.

The warrant has been entered in computer systems so law enforcement agencies around the country know it’s been issued.
