SEARCY, Ark. (AP) - The Searcy Police Department says it’s getting fewer tips than it once did about a 2-year-old boy who disappeared in November.

The Daily Citizen (https://bit.ly/1bqwUnm ) reports that the department gets just a couple of calls per week about Malik Drummond, who disappeared from his Searcy home on Nov. 23. The boy is described as being 3-foot tall and 40 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and light brown skin.

“We are still searching,” Sgt. Steve Hernandez said. “If any leads come up, we are following up on them.”

Police say that Leslie Marcotte, Malik’s father’s girlfriend, told them that when she came out of the bathroom and asked where he was, one of the other children in the home pointed to the screen door. Malik’s father, Jeff Clifton, was reportedly asleep in the bedroom at the time. Malik’s mother, Tonya Drummond, was in the hospital.

Family members, law enforcement, emergency personnel and local residents searched the neighborhood. Citizen search parties were called off in December.
