ORANGE CITY, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a fire that began in a bucket of oil rags spread to a northwestern Iowa home and caused extensive damage.

The Orange City Fire Department says a bucket of flaxseed oil rags located behind the Orange City residence likely caught fire, and the flames then spread to the house. The fire has been ruled accidental.

Officials responded to reports of the fire around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The Sioux City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1CmeXR0 ) that it caused extensive heat and smoke damage estimated at $150,000.

No injuries were reported in the blaze.
