OAK PARK, Ill. (AP) - Authorities say a 77-year-old man who died over the weekend was Cook County’s 25th cold-related death of the season.

The Chicago Tribune reports (https://trib.in/1xw8eEg ) Lester L. Harrison of Oak Park was found Sunday in the Chicago suburb of Forest Park. He was pronounced dead Sunday morning at Rush Oak Park Hospital.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office says an autopsy determined he died of hypothermia and cardiovascular disease due to exposure to cold. The death was ruled an accident.

Temperatures overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning were in the low 30s.

Cook County recorded 32 cold-related deaths between Oct. 24, 2013 and April 3, 2014. Last winter saw record-breaking low temperatures in the Chicago area.
