CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Former Tennessee linebacker Justin King is transferring to Football Championship Subdivision program Chattanooga.

Chattanooga coach Russ Huesman announced Wednesday in a university release that the Mocs are adding King. The release said King is enrolled at Tennessee for the spring semester and will join the Mocs in the fall.

Tennessee coach Butch Jones had indicated last month that King was leaving the Volunteers.

King, who has two years of eligibility remaining, becomes the third former Tennessee player to join the Mocs. Chattanooga announced in January that it had added ex-Vols wide receiver Drae Bowles. Chattanooga’s roster also includes linebacker Nikolay Timoshchuk, who was on Tennessee’s roster in 2012 and 2013 but never appeared in a game.

King played 13 games last season and made two tackles.
