ELLOREE, S.C. (AP) - A Florida company is buying a water bottling company in Calhoun County, investing $16 million and creating almost 40 new jobs.

Silver Springs Bottled Water Company headquartered in Marion County, Florida, announced on Wednesday it is acquiring Hickory Springs Bottling located outside of Elloree, South Carolina.

The company will add new high-speed bottling equipment and expects to create 37 jobs in the next five years. Silver Springs expects to begin hiring for the new jobs in the next few weeks.
