BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - An LSU fraternity is on indefinite suspension amid allegations of “behavioral misconduct.”

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1xy2LwC ) LSU is investigating claims involving the Acacia fraternity but declined to elaborate on the specific nature of those claims.

Despite the interim suspension pending the investigation, LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard says members are still in the Acacia fraternity house.

The university has a formal process for investigating allegations against student organizations. Under that process, complaints are lodged through the Dean of Students Office, which conducts the preliminary investigation. That investigation can be followed by formal charges if reasonable cause is found. That would be followed by administrative action or a judicial hearing.
